GroundWorks,
a quality landscape design and construction company, was started by
James Crowley in 1977. In the early 1970's, Jim started a 
landscape
maintenance business as a means of financing his college education.
During this time, Jim became inspired by the beautiful gardens he
was maintaining and the tremendous variety of plants that thrived
in the Bay Area. As time progressed, Jim's interest expanded to include
the construction and design aspects of landscaping. Through continued
education, practical experience, and dedication, Jim has developed
his current expertise and reputation as a quality, customer service-oriented
landscape contractor.
